The list of legal stages are (Hazards off) :
- Final Destination*
- Battlefield*
- Pokemon Stadium 2
- Small Battlefield
- Smashville / Hollow Bastion
- Town & City
- Kalos Pokémon League
(Any stage with a '/' means that you may choose either version of the stage.) *You can also play on most Omega and Battlefield versions of all stages. If you are not sure which you can and can not play on, contact your TO.
Steps :
- The players will do rock paper scissors and the winner will ban two (2) stages from the list of starter stages.
- The loser will ban three (3) stages, and the winner will ban one (1) more afterwards.
- The remaining stage will be where the first game is played.
- The players will then select their respective characters and play the game. This can be done normally or via double blind.
- After the game ends, the winner will ban three (3) stages from the list of stages. DSR (Dave's Stupid Rule) is in effect.
- The loser will then choose the stage. No player can go back to the stage they have previously won on (DSR).
- Repeat step 5 to 6 until one player has 2 wins in a best of 3 set, or 3 in a best of 5 set.
- Return to the stage menu and disconnect all wireless controllers from the setup.
- Report the score to the T.O along with characters used, stages chosen, and stock counts.
Additional Rules :
- No custom balance setting, items or Final Smash meter.
- All characters are legal. Miis must be made with their loadout being their name i.e. 1111, 2222, 1231 etc
- No infinites or stalling.
- Modified Gentleman's agreement. As long as both members of the match agree to any legal stage, it may be played on. However, you cannot request a replay of the match if you disagree afterwards.
- If there is an issue with control schemes, stage pick, or some other issue, it must be brought to the T.O's attention immediately. If not, there are no repeat games.
- In the event of a timeout, the player with the higher stock count or lower percentage wins, Sudden Death wins do not count.
- If a game ends in an exact tie, a one stock match on the stage must be played to determine a winner.
- If a player pauses, they must lose a stock. If the pause is done for style when the opponent will obviously lose their stock the player will not lose his stock.
- If a player forfeits (quits) they will lose the game.
- For other questions, ask your respective T.O.
