LAG DISPUTE RULES (All Mario Tennis Aces Tournaments, Use This for Ultimate When Applicable)
- Disputes should be handled solely through Smash.gg or Discord.
- Single bursts of lag should not be disputed.
- You can only dispute lag after the first game/before the second game. You cannot dispute lag after the set has completed. You cannot dispute during a game.
- Find out if the lag being caused is regional or not. If it is regional lag, only dispute it if it’s really severe.
- Ping a staff member on Discord, use the dispute channel in the MTA Club Discord (discord.me/mariotennis), and/or use the request feature in Smash.gg if there is a substantial issue.
- Finish the fight before disputing regardless of lag. Once you are booted back to the lobby, you can dispute.
- Video evidence is a necessity for a DQ to be issued because of a dispute. Please use the Switch’s video recording function to record video evidence of lag.
- If there is a proper dispute, both players will need to preform a speed test.
- A moderator may ask to play a Quick Play match with both participants. Please comply.
