- Style: Stock
- Stock: 3
- Time Limit: 7:00
- Items: None
- Stage Hazards: Off
- Final Smash Meter: Off
The rest of the setup rules will be default.
2. Stage Selection
The list of allowed stages are as follows:
Starters:
- Battlefield
- Final Destination
- Smashville
- Pokémon Stadium 2 (or 1 if agreed to)
- Town & City
Counter Picks:
- Kalos Pokémon League
- Yoshi’s Story
- Lylat Cruise
Gentleman’s Rule:
If both players agree to a stage then they can play that stage rather than go through the stage striking/banning process. This also includes Final Destination or Battlefield forms of stages instead of their respective original stage and can also at the TOs discretion include certain non legal stages.
Stage Striking:
Players will determine who Strikes first via Rock Paper Scissors or a Coin Flip. Any foul play in doing so will result in the other player getting to decide first strike. The first player will chose one stage of the Starters to Strike. The second player will Strike 2 other Starter Stages. Finally the first player gets to decide which stage of the remaining 2 is played (by banning the other).
Stage Banning:
At the end of a game, the winning player gets to Ban any 2 stages from the full stage list. These stages cannot be chosen by the loser of the game for the next game which they have the right to chose.
When selecting the first stage in a match, each player bans a non-counterpick stage in the following order: P1-P2-P2-P1. The remaining stage will be the first stage of the match. For every game following the first, the winner of the previous game bans a stage and the loser of the previous game picks from the remaining stages, including the counter-pick stages. The loser may not pick the last stage that they won a game on in the match.
3. Character Selection
Any character from the list of available characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate may be selected for tournament play.
For the first game of a match, players may choose characters as normal, with no defined pick order. If they so wish, players may do a “double-blind character selection”. Players must request an ICE admin for this method of character selection. For “double-blind character selection”, P1 privately informs the admin which character they are playing. After this, P2 picks their character, and P1 subsequently selects the character they informed the admin of.
Following the first game of the match, the winner of the previous game selects their character first.
4. Pauses/Game Disruption
If a player pauses a game for any reason, that player must intentionally drop a stock (ie: jump off the edge of the stage). This rule may be waived by an opponent.
Game disruption can be a number on unsportsmanlike actions outside of the game such as but not limited to: hitting the home menu or screenshot buttons, shouting or distracting your opponent, etc. Such actions can result in the loss of a stock, game or even the entire set.
5. Player Conduct
Players found guilty of the following offences will face penalties at the discretion of Admins, at which the maximum is Player Suspension:
- Profanity & Hate Speech
- Abusive Behaviour Towards Opponents
- Abusive Behaviour Towards ICE or Insomnia Admins,Referees or TOs
- Harassment
- Collusion/Match Fixing
- Excessive Taunt Spamming
- Unsportsmanlike Play
6. Rules Implementation

- Enforced loss of 1 or more stock in a game.
- Automatic forfeit of 1 or more games.
