Tournament Rules

General Fighting Games
  • BYOC (Bring Your Own Controller): If possible we will provide controllers, this is not usually the case, but typically this is a rule of thumb for any tournament. Make sure you have your own controller & any adapters needed to bring and use. There are some players who are generous to lend you theirs but there are also understandable risks such as your controller getting broken by someone else mishandling it.

  • Tournaments are Double Elimination: When you lose once, it means you're now in the losers bracket and you'll have to work twice as hard if you make it to Grand Finals. You have to beat your opponent in two full sets. Once to knock them into losers with you, again to win the tournament.

  • Sets are normally 2 out of 3 (unless specified differently) Until Loser's/Winner's/Grand Final; Then they are 3 out of 5.

  • Please report your match results to our T.O.'s so that we can progress everything in an orderly manner

League Of Legends
  • BYOE (Bring Your Own Equipment) is allowed, if you do not wish to use the keyboard and mouse that we provide. Please limit your personal equipment to keyboard/mouse only, or other related accessories. PC, Monitor, etc. will all be provided.

  • Tournament will be Single Elimination and Best of 1 if registered teams exceeds cap & Best of 3 if below cap

  • Tournaments are Held on Summoners Rift on the newest patch at the time of the tournament, and are a standard 5v5 Summoners Rift game.

  • Please limit any macros to single inputs only (for example, using a Left Scroll on a mouse to use Item 1). Please do not use sets such as Burst and Combo macros ( Example: One button for a full Stun>Ult combo on Veigar)

  • Surrendering and Early Surrender are allowed only in one round games.

  • /All (Allchat) is allowed, just try to not be too toxic.

  • /pause is allowed within reason. If a pause occurs, let us know so we can resolve the issue. (Connection issue, equipment failure, etc)

  • Entry Fees for each tournament is $10; with some exceptions

  • There will be other games to play here as well as game brought by fellow congoers in the freeplay area.

  • During tournaments, we ask to be careful and mindful of the amount of people that will be around and in the area. There will be a lot of clutter and a lot of spectators, especially on Saturday. So if you're not a participant, just make sure to clear the way for others who are to move about the tournament area.

  • This is not so much a rule just a general statement: There's no need to get physical or to beat yourself up if you lost or are losing. You learn from the loss and come back stronger next match if you know you can do better. It also never hurts to ask questions, no matter the game. There are players, whether here or online, that will be more than willing to explain even the most basic of concepts with you. No one comes out the gate winning all the time, and those that claim they do, really don't realize what they may be, or have lost along the way...didn't mean for that to get deep but you catch my drift Be kind. Ask questions. Grow from your losses. Learn more about the games you love. Don't learn hate from them.
