Swiss System Street Fighter Tournament Rules:

• Format:

  The tournament consists of 16 players competing in 4 rounds.

• Matches:

  Each round features best-of-5 set matches.

• Scoring:

  Players earn 1 point for each match win and an additional point for winning the entire set.

• ##Maximum Points: A player can earn a maximum of 4 points per round.

• Pairing:

  Players are matched based on their records to ensure balanced matchups.

• Advancement:

  After 4 rounds, the top 8 players with the most points advance to a Double Elimination Bracket.

Top 8 Double Elimination Tournament Rules:

• Structure:

  The top 8 players from the Swiss System advance to the Double Elimination Tournament. The number of points will determine the seeding.

• Paths:

  Players compete in the Winners' Bracket or the Losers' Bracket.

• Winners' Bracket:

  Matches are best-of-5 sets, winners proceed, and losers drop to the Losers' Bracket.

• Losers' Bracket:

  Losers continue to compete for a chance to reach the Grand Final.

• Winners' Bracket Final:

  Winners of the Winners' Bracket Round 2 face off.

• Losers' Bracket Final:

  Winner of the Losers' Bracket Round 2 competes against the loser of the Winners' Bracket Final.

• Grand Final:

  Winners of the Winners' and Losers' Brackets face each other.

• Advantage:

  The Winners' Bracket finalist often starts with a lead in the Grand Final.

• Overall Winner:

  The winner of the Grand Final is crowned the tournament champion.

Tournament Rules and Format

This Tournament will be different then our previous ones. We want to encourage more matches played and try a new system to determine the best players. We will be introducing SWISS SYSTEM.

Phase One: Swiss System Tournament

• All players will play swiss style tournament. Winner is determined by points:
  • 4 Rounds and each match will be best of 5.
  • Earning Points: Each set win will be 1 point (3 set wins to win the match). The winner of the overall match will win 1 point.
  • Maximum points a player can win is 4 points.
