Event Rules

BRACKET PLAY:

  • Single Elimination: Losing players will be eliminated from the bracket.

  • Seeding: Players will be randomly seeded at the close of registration.

GAMEPLAY SETTINGS:

  • Fatigue: ON

  • Injuries: OFF

  • Even Teams: OFF

  • Quarter lengths: 5 MINUTES

  • Game Skill: ALL MADDEN

  • Accelerated Clock: 20 Sec

  • Weather: ON + CLEAR

EQUIPMENT:

  • Each player will use a provided PS5 console and monitor during matches.

  • Players can use personal controllers. Controllers will also be provided by venue.

OTHER RULES:

  • TEAMS / PLAYBOOKS: Players are allowed to mirror match. (Use same teams) Players may use any of the 32 NFL Team’s playbooks with their selected team. MUT & Custom playbooks are not permitted.

  • 24-POINT MERCY RULE: A player that leads their opponent by 24 points or more will automatically be deemed the winner of a match if the other player fails to score on their next possession immediately following the lead being established.

  • 4TH DOWN ATTEMPTS: Players can go for it on 4th down anytime.

  • OFFSIDES: Abuse of offsides is not permitted. Excessive uses of offsides to delay game clock will be looked at in a case-by-case basis.

  • ONSIDE KICKS: Players may only onside kick in the second half.

  • AUDIBLES: Players cannot audible out of the QB Kneel, Wildcat, Field Goal, or Punt formations.

Behavior

Any Competitor or Team may be disqualified immediately from any Velocity Esports event at the discretion of the event admin team

Offenses that will invoke a DQ and removal from event are but not limited to the following

  • Colluding with other players in playing matches
  • Intentionally using an alternate account or impersonating another player.
  • Abusive or disorderly behavior, including any use of harassing, negative, or profane language online. This includes towards fellow competitors, other community members, viewers and staff members. Velocity Esports practices and enforces a safe play environment.
