Event Rules
- Main game rules are the same as Singles (using the UKIE Recommended Ruleset with Lylat Cruise as the 5th starter stage)
- Double Elimination event
- Best-of-3 until Top 3 (Winner's Final, Loser's Final, Grand Final) where it will be Best-of-5
Tournament Rules
Manchester Conquest runs pools followed by a double elimination pro bracket and amateur bracket or ladder. The number of pools will be decided based on the number of entrants we have, the number of entrants also decides whether pools will be double elimination with an amateur ladder or not..
Pools will be round robin or double elimination best of 3 sets in which each competitor plays all other competitors in the same pool once.
We will be using the UKIE Recommended Ruleset with Lylat Cruise as the 5th starter stage.
At least top 8 of pro bracket will be best of 5. The rest of pro bracket may be best of 3 or 5 depending on the time and number of setups available on the day.
If players are not present when their names are announced for a match, we will give you 10 minutes before we disqualify you. SSM members will frequently be calling out your name throughout the 10 minute period.
If you have signed up on smash.gg and do not turn up at arrive on time for your pool, you will be given 15 minutes to make it to your pool or you will be disqualified.
