Event Rules
We will be using the UKIE Recommended Ruleset. However, the main rules will be as in this image:
Tournament Rules
Manchester Conquest runs pools followed by a double elimination pro bracket and amateur bracket or ladder. The number of pools will be decided based on the number of entrants we have. The number of entrants also determines whether pools will be double elimination and what format the Amateur event will be (double elimination or ladder). The format will be noted on this page once signups have closed and seeding is published.
Pools will be round robin or double elimination best-of-3 sets. Best-of-5 sets will be used for, at a minimum, Winners Finals, Losers Finals and Grand Finals though we aim to use bo5 for all of top 8 and for more of top 32 if time allows.
We will be using the UKIE Recommended Ruleset for all the rules not included in the below graphic.
At least top 8 of pro bracket will be best of 5. The rest of pro bracket may be best of 3 or 5 depending on time and the number of setups available on the day.
If players are not present when their names are announced for a match, we will give you 10 minutes before we disqualify you. SSM members will frequently be calling out your name throughout the 10 minute period.
