Event Rules
In this event after both players have checked into their next match, one player will be designated and responsible to create the game lobby on their Nintendo switch, customizing match setting, and match Rules set to mirror our restrictions.

The tournament will be BO3 until we reach the Semi-Finals/Grand Finals whitch will be BO5
Once complete invite your other player using the chat window to your lobby with the Lobby ID# in the top right of the screen. also, give them the password.
when both players are in the lobby go back to smash GG and click done.
Next you will have tasks to complete, blind character selection will be first.
Next level banning will begin.
ROUND ONE: *1st player bans 1 *2nd player bans 2 *1st player bans 1 *the remaining stage is chosen
ROUND TWO: (Counterpick stages are added) *Winner bans 2 *Loser picks from remaining stages

after this starts your rounds making sure all your level selections and character selection have been chosen accurately on the bottom right of the super smash bros game lobby.
start the battle and record your match results. once the first match is over continue through the task again until all rounds are over.
Match Rules
Double-elimination, BO3 7 min rounds, Semi-Finals/grand Finals BO5 7 min rounds blind character draft, level banning no items, no level hazards.
Tournament Rules

Winner's Semi-Finals, Loser's Finals, Winner's Semi-Finals, and Grand Finals will ALWAYS be played on stream. Disconnecting rules still apply- if you disconnect for any reason during a match you will lose a game of a set.
General: You must register by 3:00pm the day of the tournament
This is an all-ages event.
This is a 1v1 singles double-elimination tournament.
This tournament will take place online. You are not limited by location.
Meta Arena staff will be available on Discord.
Brackets will start promptly at 4:00pm PST.
This tournament will have an automatic 6 minute DQ timer.
It is the player's responsibility to maintain their equipment and internet connection.
Platform: This tournament will be played on Nintendo Switch.
You must provide your own equipment. You must have Nintendo Online Service. It is recommended to use a Nintendo Switch Wired Network adapter.
Format: This is a 1v1 singles tournament

Disconnecting during a match, intentional or accidental, will result is a loss of 1 game out of a set.
If your connection is causing to much lag and interfering with the tournament schedule you may be asked to forfeit a set or be disqualified from the tournament.
Stage Rules: Smash.gg will assign arena host, and who bans a stage first.

Matches will be announced on Smash.gg after the tournament has begun. Players are responsible for checking into their matches, completing tasks assigned to their match, and accurately reporting the results for their match.
False reporting will not be tolerated and result in a DQ and potential ban from future events.
On-Stream Play: You may be asked to play on stream, especially at the later stages of the tournament. If you reach Winner's/Loser's Semi Finals and up, expect to play on stream.
