All Mii Fighter configurations are allowed. Name your Mii according to its special moves (“3112” for Neutral 3, Side 1, Up 1, Down 2).

Starter Stages: Battlefield*, Final Destination*, Pokemon Stadium 2, Smashville, Town & City

Counterpick Stages: Yoshi’s Story, Yoshi’s Island (Brawl), Lylat Cruise, Unova Pokemon League, Kalos Pokemon League

  • Any “Battlefied-type” stage may be substituted for Battlefield. Any Omega stage may be substituted for Final Destination. A ban/strike on Battlefield counts as a ban/strike for all other Battlefield-type stages and vice versa. A ban/strike on Final Destination counts as a ban/strike for all Omega Stages and vice versa.

Game 1 selection procedure: players strike stages from the starter stage list to determine the first stage (order: P1-P2-P2-P1), then players pick characters. Blind character pick can be requested.

Game 2+ selection procedure: winning player/team of previous game bans 2 stages from the legal stage list, losing player/team picks stage, winner picks character, loser picks character. (In Squad Strike, winner picks 1 character, then loser picks 1 character, then winner picks again, etc.) Stage bans apply only for the next game of the set; bans reset after each game. The winner of the previous game does not have to keep the same character(s), but he must pick his character first.

Stage Clause: A player may not pick the same stage he or she won on in any previous game of the set unless all players agree.

Gentleman's Stage Clause: If all players agree, they may play on any legal stage, ignoring other stage selection rules.

Infinite combos are not permitted to extend beyond 300% damage.

When a game ends by time-over, the victor is decided by most stocks remaining, then by lowest percent. If percentages are tied (or if a game ends in a draw by double KO, regardless of percentages), then the game counts as a win for both players and the next game of the set (if the set isn’t finished) must be played with the same settings. If a draw causes both players to reach set point, then a 1-stock 2.5-minute tiebreaker game is played. Sudden Death is never used.
