Additional Rules:
Timeouts and Sudden Death
- In the event of a timeout, sudden death is not to be played out. The player with the most remaining stocks is the winner. If stocks are tied, the player with the lowest percent wins.
- In the rare case both both stock count and percent are perfectly equal, a 1 stock 3 minute tie-breaker match is to be played. This also applies in cases of a double KO that leading to sudden death.
Mii clause
- All Miis and moveset combinations are tournament legal. A Mii must be created before the set starts. No Mii can be created from scratch in-between games. Cosmetic changes from the default Mii are allowed before the set, but the total time in the Mii creation menu must not exceed 30 seconds. Moves may be swapped between games, but the Mii player must return to the character select screen within 30 seconds. The time starts when a counterpick stage is selected.
Mid-set disruptions
- If a player pauses, opens the home menu, or brings up the controller assignment menu via a disconnected controller, they must forfeit their current stock at their opponents discretion. If these circumstances result in the opponent losing their stock, the player who caused the disruption forfeits 2 stocks instead of 1.
TO discretion
- For any further ruleset disputes, please consult a TO. All decisions made by a TO, whether they are included in or stated otherwise in these rules, are final.
