Event Rules

Welcome to Smash Realm, the All Knighters' premier SSBU tournament!

Please find the bracket rules below.


Double-Elimination Bracket

Each match will be the best of 3.

Winners Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals will be the best of 5.


Smash Realm Ruleset

Starter Stages

  • Battlefield

  • Final Destination

  • Pokémon Stadium 2

  • Hollow Bastion

  • Town and City


Counterpick Stages

  • Kalos Pokémon League

  • Smashville

  • Small Battlefield

  • Yoshi's Story


Strike Rules

Rock, Paper, Scissors

  • Winner bans 1 starter stage; loser bans 2 starter stages; winner bans 1 more starter stage; the first game will be played on the remaining starter stage.

Stage Selection Clauses

  1. The winner of the previous game will ban 3 stages.

  2. Players are not allowed to counterpick to the most recent stage that they won on (MDSR).


Double Jeopardy

  • If one player wins a set against another player in the 'Winners' bracket, and the losing player from that set goes on to defeat the winning player from the first set in the 'Losers' bracket, then their match round will result in a reset. Whoever wins the ensuing set in this scenario will advance to the next round of the tournament.

Timeout Rules

  • In the case of a timeout that causes sudden death, the player with the lower percent wins the game.

  • Stock and time are set to 3 stock and 7 minutes

  • Final Smash Meter: Off

  • Spirits: Off

  • Damage Handicap: Off

  • Choice Items: Off

  • Stage Morph: Off

  • Stage Hazards: Off

  • Team Attack: On

  • Launch Rate: 1.0x

  • Underdog Boost: Off

  • Score Display: Off

  • % Show Damage: Yes

  • Custom Balance: Off

  • Mii Fighters: All moveset combinations are legal


Important Details

  • Do not begin a match until you have been assigned a station number by the tournament organizer(s).

  • Report the score of your match to the TO(s) ASAP, once it is over.

  • Do your best to keep a positive attitude, and HAVE FUN! 🙂
