This is an Any% tournament of Deadly Towers (NES).  Signups close October 1st.  Qualifiers begin in October, followed by bracket stage with its final rounds happening during the week of Nov 6th-14th.  This tournament will use the ruleset of the speedrun.com Deadly Towers Any% leaderboard, with regard to emulator versions and other restrictions.

The third iteration of the Super Mario Bros. 3 Randomizer Tournament at SpeedGaming Live will be similar in structure to the previous SG Live tournaments. The goal is Any% Warpless: Complete all eight worlds as fast as you can using whatever items and ingenuity at your disposal (Warp whistles and wrong warps have been disabled). Get to the finish as fast as you can while avoiding the Angry Sun, Boss Bass, and the Koopa Kids, especially Wendy!

The Zelda 1 Randomizer Tournament will feature a two stage tournament, a group stage that will be handled prior to the event in November to qualify for the bracket round that will determine a champion during the event.

The group stage will begin on Monday, October 18th, and run until Sunday, October 31st.  Runners will be responsible for scheduling and playing their matches within this time frame.   Following this group stage, there will be a single elimination bracket, with the exact number of participants depending on the number of entrants.  

The flags will be played using the SGL 2021 preset on the Randomizer.

Super Metroid

Super Metroid is an 2D, side-scrolling action-adventure game, which primarily takes place on the fictional planet Zebes—a large, open-ended world with areas connected by doors and elevators. The player controls Samus Aran as she searches the planet for a Metroid that was stolen by Ridley, the leader of the Space Pirates. Samus can run, jump, crouch, and fire a weapon in eight directions; she can also perform other actions, such as wall jumping—jumping from one wall to another in rapid succession to reach higher areas. The "Moon Walk" ability, named after the popular dance move of the same name, allows Samus to walk backwards while firing or charging her weapon. The heads-up display shows Samus' health, the supply mode for reserve tanks, icons that represent weapons, and an automap that shows her location and its surroundings.

Super Mario Bros. 3

Super Mario Bros. 3, the third entry in the Super Mario Bros. series and Super Mario franchise, sees Mario or Luigi navigate a nonlinear world map containing platforming levels and optional minigames and challenges. The game features more diverse movement options and new items alongside more complex level designs and boss battles.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

The year is 2035 and Soma Cruz is about to witness the first solar eclipse of the 21st century when he suddenly blacks out -- only to awaken inside a mysterious castle. As Soma, you must navigate the castle's labyrinths while confronting perilous monsters at every turn. But beware, you must escape before the evil consumes you!

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

A top-down action/adventure title in which Link, a blacksmith's nephew living in the fantastical land of Hyrule, must free the land from the evildoings of Ganon by taking up the mythical Master Sword and collecting the three Triforces in order to free the Seven Maidens, including the princess of Hyrule, Zelda, from the dungeons and castles of the Dark World.

The Legend of Zelda

Set in the fantasy land of Hyrule, the plot centers on a boy named Link, the playable protagonist, who aims to collect the eight fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom in order to rescue Princess Zelda from the antagonist, Ganon. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

An entry in the Legend of Zelda series of action-adventure games in which Link, a boy living modestly on a small island in the Great Sea, sets off on a sailing adventure after his sister is kidnapped by a giant bird, but is eventually thrust into the same position as the Hero of Time told in legend, and has to face Ganondorf, the reincarnated villain of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998).

Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy, also known as FFI in re-releases, is the first role-playing game title in Square's flagship Final Fantasy series. The game puts players in control of four characters known as the Warriors of Light, and begins by asking the player to select the classes and names of each. The Warriors of Light can traverse the maps of dungeons and towns, which are connected by a world map, and will run into random encounters with enemies or fight bosses.

Mega Man X

Near the end of his life, Dr. Light succeeds in creating the first of a new series of robots which will change the world. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

A 3D reimagining of the core premise of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991), Ocarina of Time follows Link, the protagonist, as he picks up a sword and leaves behind his humble origins in order to trek across the land of Hyrule, venture into its treacherous dungeons and travel through time itself to fulfill his destiny as the Hero of Time by defeating his enemy Ganondorf and ridding Hyrule of evil.

Pokémon Red

Pokémon Red Version, along with Pokémon Green Version, are the first video games in the Pokémon series of games. They are the first primary paired versions of Generation I, developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the handheld Game Boy.

Developed over the course of several years, Red and Green established several standards for later Pokémon games and sequels. They take place in the Kanto region, with the player having to collect eight Gym Badges to become the Pokémon Champion while also completing the Pokédex by collecting all 151 Pokémon.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Skyward Sword is the sixteenth entry in the Legend of Zelda series. The game makes use of the Wii MotionPlus peripheral for sword fighting, with a revised Wii Remote pointing system used for targeting.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the third installment in the Super Smash Bros. series and the follow-up to Super Smash Bros. Melee. This edition introduces super attacks referred to as final smashes: activated by destroying smash balls, these feature powerful and often unstoppable attacks, regularly introducing a major transformation of the character. This edition also introduces a brand new adventure mode in The Subspace Emissary which is a side-scrolling adventure in the style of a platformer.
