Event Rules
Day 1 (November 9)
8 hanchan every 75 minutes, play any 5 of your choice.
Standard ladder rules, except for:
- No busting (you can go below 0 and riichi below 1000)
- No agariyame (all-last dealer in first cannot end the game)
- Split ties (tied players get the same uma)
- 5+10 turn timer 5 hanchan total score after uma Top 16 advance to finals day (double elimination)
Finals (November 10)
Double elimination, top 2 in each match advance, bottom 2 are relegated Ties broken by seed For grand finals, it's a 3-wind match (to West), players coming from winners start at 29000, from losers start at 21000

This guide details rules & guidelines for all Vortex Gallery Online 2024 tournaments. Players must read & follow the guidelines in this document to participate in Vortex Gallery 2024.
YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF THE VORTEX GALLERY DISCORD TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT!
The tournament will be run in the Vortex Gallery Discord. Membership is required; We will not be using the Smash.GG Chat or check-in features to manage the tournament. Failure to join the discord & obtain the necessary roles may result in disqualification.

Specific rules for each game are posted on the website. Players are expected to know and follow these rules.
